Easter and April Photoshoot 9 Months

April 11, 2021

Somebunny is 9 months!!! Quincy is crawling, exploring, and climbing constantly. She is a ball of energy, and her parents are trying their best to keep up! She has started saying syllables, like “da-da”, even though they are just random ramblings right now. She knows what she wants and is learning to express her dismay in fits. One could say her personality is more and more like her mom’s everyday. We love our little mini-me!!!

Quincy’s bunny romper (https://amzn.to/2QdjogM), bow (https://amzn.to/3uFj3m0) , and shoes (https://amzn.to/3wNsuSg) are from Amazon. Her socks were from Carter’s. The fur rug (https://amzn.to/3d9gUsL) was purchased in Amazon. We took this picture on the grass in my grandparents backyard. We used to have Easter at their house every year. This was the first Easter without both of them, so I was extremely happy to take some photos here. I took this photo kneeling on the ground a few feet away from Quincy.

For this photo, we added a wicker basket my mother had at her house. We placed the fur rug behind Quincy for support, and we put a blanket on her legs. This allowed for the Easter Eggs to show on top. The Easter eggs were purchased from Party City. We added a tulle bow to the basket to make it a little more festive. I took this photo on my knees while my mom tried to have Quincy focus on the camera instead of the enticing eggs in front of her.

In this photo, we took away the fur blanket and the basket. We wanted a more simplified look. I put some bunny ears on Quincy that I got from the Dollar Tree, and I gave her a carrot I bought at Albertsons. She probably would have enjoyed nibbling and gnawing on that carrot all day. I took this photo on my knees as well.

Quincy is definitely teething which means everything goes in her mouth. I placed the Easter Eggs all around her. They were extremely tempting, and she immediately wanted to roll over, play with the eggs, and put them in her mouth. It took me and my mom constantly wrangling her and putting her back into place to finally get this picture. It was exhausting! The pictures on her back were the hardest to get this time around because of her curious nature and desire to crawl and sit up. I took this picture on my knees with the camera zoomed in on her face.

Lastly, we have the monthly milestone blanket picture. The blanket was purchased off of Etsy. The milestone marker was a DIY with materials bought at Michaels. I made it with artificial eucalyptus leaves, floral wire, and a wooden embroidery hoop. I took this photo by standing over Quincy, without getting my feet in the frame, and pointing the camera directly down. Overall, I am in love with how these photos turned out. I cannot believe my little one is already 3/4 of a year old! Time is passing by so quickly! Happy April and Happy Easter everyone!

Hello! My name is Ashleigh. I am a girl who played soccer for her university, graduated with a degree in English, and thought, "What next?" This then turned into a Masters in Teaching and being a Middle School English Teacher. Along the way, I had many ups and downs and met the love of my life, Mr. Reyes (my real life Mr. Darcy). After being married two years, we found out we were pregnant. I gave birth to Quincy Leia in July 2020. This blog is going to be a place for people to read about my real life experiences. I hope you enjoy it!
